I would like to be able to open MIB files within my own application, obtain a
tree structure of all the items within those mib files and present the items in
my user interface to be picked (much like a mib browser).
I have started by using the following function calls:
init_mib()
add_mibdir()
read_mib()
I have some questions regarding this:
1. Are these the correct functions to be using?
2. Are there any dependencies on other programs running for them to work?
3. Do i need to perform any init_snmp() type functions if all i want to do is
browse some MIB files?
4. What default directories are added as MIB file directories, if any?
4. When I use the above functions my tree structure is always returned as NULL?
I am obviously missing something. Do you have any idea?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks
