is: 
smux/smux

/usr/local/sbin/snmpd -H 2>&1 | grep -i smux
returns:
/usr/local/share/snmp/snmpd.conf: line 108: Warning: Unknown token: smuxpeer.

I don't understand why the smux module is not known...

I don't think there are major problems with SMUX support in 5.4.1,
except that SMUX is deprecated in general in favor of AgentX.
