Hmmm... you've installed 32-bit binaries on a 64-bit system.
I'm not sure that would work.....

This is used by the agent for storing persistent information.
You shouldn't touch this file.
Which is why it says
**** DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE ****
right at the top :-)

This would be the correct file for the agent from RPMs listed above.

Assuming that the bit you've omitted said "public",
then this should have worked.
Always assuming that the agent is running, of course.
How did you start the agent after having installed the RPMs?

Again, that should have worked.
Which makes me suspect that the agent isn't running.
What does
ps -ef | grep snmp
report?
