Sorry - we don't have any 64-bit binaries at the moment.
You could try the Fedora 8 repositories, which have 5.4.1
(in both i386 and x86_64 versions).

So the server is not running.
Which would explain why you aren't getting any results.

Is anything logged to the log files?

What happens if you run

      snmpd -f -Le

            from the command line?
