Correct.
(Well, strictly speaking, the authoritative engine is the Notification Receiver,
and the non-authoritative engine is the Notification Generator -  but typically
the agent is acting as a Notification Generator, and the manager is
acting as a Notification Receiver.  So yes).

Yes.
In exactly the same way as client commands (Request Generators) will probe
the agent (Request Responder) for GET*/SET requests.
