The Ubuntu 9.04 test system (Dell laptop) currently has net-snmp v 5.4.1
operational on it and lmsensors v 3.1.1.
I'm attempting to compile from 5.4.2.1.tar.gz.
the net-snmp-5.4.2.1/..../ucd-snmp/ folder doesn't have lmsensorsMib.h or .c,
and I looked at all three of the sensors.h files on the system in the 5.4.2.1
folder as well as the operational /usr/local/ folder and none of them have a
reference for lmsensors_v3 or v2.
Am I missing something?
I'm only barely Linux literate, and I'm unsure if the net-snmp patch applies
here, or, for that matter, other than reading about the patch command, I'm
unsure of when or how the patch would be applied.
If necessary, perhaps I need to obtain a v2 tar of lm_sensors and then compile
net-snmp against that?
I don't mind testing if you need.
