I am attempting to install net-snmp for the first time. I have a Solaris 9
server which needs to be monitored by HP Openview. I have downloaded the
binary from sunfreeware.com and installed it.

I've followed the instructions to the point where I attempt the following
command, I get the following response:

snmpconf -g basic_setup
bash: /usr/local/bin/snmpconf: bad interpreter: No such file or directory

I have followed the instructions about creating the /var/ld directory.
However, it was already created, the links were correct and the permissions
were correct.

Does anybody have any suggestions from this point?

Cheers

Brian
