Hello, I've been tasked with writing a script that will:
a) gather statistics about inbound and outbound network activity on all net interfaces on a 3par storage unit. b) pump that information into ganglia via gmetric and graph it c) gather input and output data to each of the physical hard drives attached to said 3par d) as with b, put this information into ganglia to be graphed lather, rinse, repeat for a nas unit. So far I found it rather simple and intuitive to do this for the network interface statistics. However I am at a complete loss as to how to gather this information for the disk activity. I have tried snmpwalking the devices and a lot of the MIBs I've encountered a simply greek to me. I've also browsed the MIBs for the 3par (at least at this point) with a graphical MIB browser and no such luck. I'd certainly appreciate any guidance anyone might be able to provide me with in this endeavor. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by Sprint What will you do first with EVO, the first 4G phone?
