I recently loaded several foundry mibs (among others) but when I do a snmpwalk of a foundry(brocade) switch the results I'm getting back do not seem to recognize the foundry mibs (and a couple others)... Other mibs are being interpreted just fine. I've got the mibs in the proper place and I restarted both snmpd and snmptrapd... I verified that snmptrapd was seeing the foundry mibs by editing he mib and adding a typo - which the snmptrapd restart complained about upon a restart.
Is there something I'm missing to get snmpwalk results to process the same mibs as snmptrapd does? My /etc/snmp/snmp.conf contains a "mibs +all" (which as I mentioned works fine for my snmptrapd processing). I'm on a RHEL system, running NET-SNMP version 5.3.2.2. One of the mibs I loaded but which doesn't appear to be parsed was "FOUNDRY-SN-ROOT-MIB" (attached as reference). Example output lines: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1991.1.1.2.6.2.1.3.903 = INTEGER: 7 SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1991.1.1.2.6.2.1.3.904 = INTEGER: 7 SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1991.1.1.2.6.2.1.3.905 = INTEGER: 7 SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1991.1.1.2.6.2.1.3.906 = INTEGER: 7 SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1991.1.1.2.6.2.1.3.907 = INTEGER: 7 SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1991.1.1.2.6.2.1.3.908 = INTEGER: 7 SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.1991.1.1.2.6.2.1.4.740 = STRING: "…” I should be seeing "foundry.something" at the very least no? -Chris Bartram "The purpose of life is not to be happy.
