Hi list,

I have an issue with a server with multiples interfaces (including bonding).
My issue is the following (sorry if the terms I use are inaccurate): when
restarting snmpd, a trap is generated and sent to my configured trapsink
host.
Unfortunately, the IP address inside the trap isn't the correct one
(according to wireshark), I'd like it to be the IP address of the interface
used to reach the other host but instead, it's the IP of eth2 (don't know
why, maybe because eth2 is the first eth* interface with an ipv4 address,
others are member of bonds...)

My solution, right now is to also send inform paquets which appears to have
no IP information within their structure.

Here's my test: A is my application server, B receive the traps.
A sends a coldStart trap to B using bond1 as the output interface which is
good but put the IP of eth2 in the trap, meh!
See the capture, src ip: 10.168.150.2, trap IP: 10.1.1.20 :/

17:33:35.824864 IP 10.168.150.2.45679 > 192.168.2.3.162: Trap(29)
.1.3.6.1.4.1.8072.4 10.1.1.20 enterpriseSpecific s=2 93359

Any way to resolve this /issue/ ?

Florian.
