Hello everybody,
Since I am new to Linux and I just starded trying to use net-snmp, so this
is going to be a starter question.
I'm trying to install Net-SNMP v. 5.6.1 on a new-installed Ubuntu 9.10
following the wiki tutorial:
http://www.net-snmp.org/wiki/index.php/Net-Snmp_on_Ubuntu
perl, libperl5.10, gcc and build-essentials are installed, but when I run
"sudo apt-get install libperl-dev" it fails with the error "Couldn't find
package libperl-dev".
Then, I downloaded the package from
http://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=libperl-dev&suite=stable, but
when I run it, it tells me "Error: Dependency not satisfiable: perl (=
5.10.1-17squeeze3)"
Can anybody help-me to install libperl-dev so that I can proceed with the
net-SNMP installation?
Thanks in advance.
