As far as I know, you have to implement the queue yourself. The solution I
used for traps generated by my own code was to append traps, in the form
of snmptrap commands, to a script that I could execute later when the
interface
came up.
The problem is identifying when you should actually send your trap.
I've had problems where the interface looks up from my end, but some
switch my appliance is attached to takes longer to come up. I've had
experience with switches that can take up to 45 seconds to become
ready after the interface looks up at my end.
IMHO, the best solution is to use informs rather than traps whenever
you can.

Hey,
Is there something like a trap queue?
If I generate a trap but the transport is not ready yet (for example
on reboot), is it possible to queue the traps and send them when the
interface is up?
Thanks
Michael
