 is jodi a woman?

no, a pair:

"*Jodi*, or *jodi.org*, is a collective of two internet artists: Joan
Heemskerk (the Netherlands <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Netherlands>)
and Dirk Paesmans (Belgium <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belgium>). Their
background is in photography
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photography> and video
art <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_art>; since the mid-1990s they
started to create original artworks for the World Wide Web. A few years
later, they also turned to software
art<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_art>and artistic
computer game
modification<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artistic_computer_game_modification>.
Since 2002, they have been in what has been called their "Screen Grab"
period, making video works by recording the computer monitor's output while
working, playing video games, or coding."

didn't realize, far ago i read about jodi and i saw his/her/it works, and
didn't see anything, and anything includes gender, and meaning, and a mature
aesthetic work. sorry, i did not find that in jodi's work.

no prob.

few days after i joined the internet, ( 1997) i meet one of the first net
art works:
http://ananatomy.walkerart.org/

this is what i understand is pure net art because it shows the net, it
shows visitor's ip. i remember that i used to show this work to my friends
and arrange a meeting at a certain hour, 8 o'clock, to see ourselves in that
fascinating inner space.

this work does not work out of the net.

other works that pretend to be net-art work outside the net, and to me
that is not net art. or at least a very webspecific.

yup, understood.

as far as i remember right now, i haven't found any other work that has to
be with the net as pure as anatomy.

anatomy goes to the heart of it. maybe to the heart's multiplicity.

hearts filthy lesson purr.haps?;)

i'm just a net-art -enjoyer. i'm a writer, and i can write about net art,
but i would never say that i'm a net writer in any way. i just write. about
net, childs, sex, feminism, cinema, books, my cats... i write in the net,
but in spite of it i'm not related or significant in net art.

d.pends wot u mean by significant or related? [am sure mnay on this list
have opinions on that;)]

you write, mez, too, but in a very different way. with your language, you've
made up a webspecific: it is deeply related with the net, it can't be
understood by any person outside the net, and it have a sense that i enjoy
-as much as my capability allows me to do so-. when i can't go to the
meaning of your writing, i go to the aesthetic side, and i still feel
fascination. sorry, i do find that in your work.

no apologies nec - ppl appreciate it [+ also denigrate it] 4 multiple
reasons....

i love paul celan's poetry. i have the poems in german and in spanish.
poetry translation is always difficult, but in your poetry, mez, there is no
way to translate it... and that is fascinating, even for me, that i miss a
lot.

if u'd like any plain english adaptation i'm happy 2 provide [i]them, tho
they will b stripped + bare[by.wurd.bachelors]..... u[i?] could then
recontruct them after translation?

i let myself to share my thoughts in this list because it is named
"netbehaviour", and there, yes, i can say that i netbehave since 1997.

:)

it's very important to me to know truths about me and my work and be honest
: not net art, yes net behave.

i would invite other net users to know truths about themselves and be
honest, but... i won't do it, as i would not name them, as i would just
ignore them...

fair enuff.

if u require any more from me, i'll n.deavour 2 b as honest as possible?
