Thanks for this Pollie,
What did you make last year when you attended? Any pictures?
I have the impression that the techie workshop series at Space Media at
the moment is opening up new areas for imaginative experimentation by
non-geeky beginners.

Hi All,
Daniel, Technology will save us, is teaching his DMX lighting course
at Space Studios. I took it last year and highly recommend it. Not
only is he a great instructor, there is no fear being bored in his
workshops. Also, you gain access to the mailing list with all former
workshop attendees. Many of us from the workshop I took stay in touch
and share tips and tricks.
Space Studios is just up the road from QM on Mare Street.
FYI - If looking for local pcomp supplies, TWSU have some kits available.
