The passwords of almost 6.5 million LinkedIn user accounts were hacked
and leaked in July 2012. The debacle caused a security headache for many
but for artist Aram Bartholl, it also presented a unique publishing
opportunity.
Forgot Your Password? is a series of 8 hardback books, containing 4.7
million of the hacked passwords. Two prints of 10,000 passwords from the
list, entitled Private Password, have been exhibited at the
Carroll-Fletcher Gallery in London and many other galleries and events
across Europe.
