While rojava is dear to me and i think the issues involved are indeed of
some critical significance for our questioning our culture, and indeed i
agree there is a need for kinds of artistic and cultural solidarities with
rojava;
there is another fledgling democratic experimentation under war, just to
the north of rojava - Bakur.
Bakur is the attempt to do a rojava kind of democracy, a stateless
democracy within the geographical control of the turkish state. This
attempt is under severe fire, and i think, it too deserves visibility,
criticality and solidarity.
