AFAIK nouveau(4) doesn't support VDPAU.
That's the kind of debate where there cannot be "one and only one" good
answer :)
Indeed, having both supported inside NetBSD would be a clear win; IMO,
by the time nouveau is supported, VDPAU support will be added to
Gallium3D. Besides, NVidia has approx. zero interest in supporting
NetBSD, so any change that would follow Linux/FreeBSD APIs will have to
be backported to NetBSD. From a maintenance perspective, I don't think
it's worth it.
I am not against having both projects listed though, I am more worried
by dilution of man power.
