hi,
I just tried on a NetBSD 10.0 formal release in a VMware machine.
With both blender packages available it crashed in the same way you say.
trying to ktruss it i see:
"llvm (version 0xd00) found no intrinsic for llvm.x86.vcv.... going to
crash ... \n"
bye

I have just tried it, but the dbus package was already installed
(pkgin says “nothing to do”) and Blender continues to not work.
Note that I have the dbus service set up too, it was one of the
first things I set up after installing the system.
I suspect the log messages I got from Blender were actually
unrelated to the issue I’m going through, unfortunately.
(But thank you for the suggestion!)
