Hi,

I was trying to get NetBSD installed on a resurrected core2
machine previously gathering dust. To my surprise this proved difficult.
The 10.1 usb img broke to ddb before the installer came up fully
(where it asks to select 1. to install or 2. for the boot prompt.)

The 9.4 installer got further and allowed partitioning but broke to debugger when formatting.

I then tried copying a working netbsd 10.1 guest vm from a FreeBSD
host to another usb stick. This didn't work at all.

I then tried OpenBSD which had no issue. dmesg is below:

https://dmesgd.nycbug.org/index.cgi?do=view&id=8745

and it's running fine. I really wanted to run NetBSD here though.

My question is: for NetBSD, what can I do to capture all output
especially when it drops to ddb? The machine has a real serial port
and I have a usb to serial with pl2303 chipset, but it's also connected to
vga and taking photos from the screen to capture output doesn't really
work (any screen I get in future will be notshiny)
