I did pkill xscreensaver and I could return to my XFCE4 session. netbsd-nuc$ error: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR is invalid or not set in the environment. error: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR is invalid or not set in the environment. xscreensaver: 18:33:53: SIGTERM received while locked: exiting SIGTERM is from pkill command I issued. xscreensaver-demo works fine showing the different types of screensaver. If I choose one of them and run xscreensaver-command --lock, the animation works but I cannot unlock, unlocking screen never appears. I always must kill the xscreensaver command running in the background. Thanks. Ramiro.
This is strange, after playing with the RPi4 over VNC from the Intel Nuc, xscreesaver started to work again in the NUC. I do not understand this. Yesterday it failed in two different amd64 machines. I do not know why sometimes work and sometimes does not. I have to investigate it. Regards.
