Glenn, You raise a good point regarding the state of our test specifications, and it had been on my mind as well. I updated the Test Specifications for Unit Testing (JUnit and TestNG) during Release 9.0 testing, but they still need further work:
- The JUnit tests ( https://netbeans-vm.apache.org/synergy/client/app/#/specification/390/v/2) take too long and need to be reduced. They also need to support JUnit 5 functionality. - The TestNG tests ( https://netbeans-vm.apache.org/synergy/client/app/#/title/testng_test_specification/) need to be expanded, and support TestNG 6 functionality. I'll volunteer to work on those, but anyone else is welcome to participate - just let me know. I'd also thought about creating additional Test Specifications for other testing frameworks such as Spock and Mockito, but I invite feedback and approval on that idea before we proceed. Perhaps they are not used enough to merit Test Specifications? It is also important that we have volunteers for peer review of any new or updated test specifications. We don't want to be discovering that those test specifications are inadequate during 9.1 testing!
