You can still edit test specs when they are closed for structure changes, but you cannot do any structure changes like adding/deleting test cases/suite. You can only edit individual test cases. The reason is the active test run and Synergy waiting for test results for generated test assignments based on existing test cases/suites. Once it is closed, we will be again able to changes TS structures.

I hope that makes sense.

When I go here (after logging in to this site):

https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__netbeans-2Dvm.apache.org_synergy_client_app_-23_title_java-5Fcode-5Fcompletion_&d=DwIFaQ&c=RoP1YumCXCgaWHvlZYR8PZh8Bv7qIrMUB65eapI_JnE&r=8_Pz0x0SKeT5e3IehhQKCbQ2xl3tz40jnCU133NrdP4&m=bfBukULQc-FNgyV2c52-0yPM7DvGhi23vvO5egYOqPU&s=nF3_kuEsGRpQfdAFc3RSx7J_vxsjQfu0vApAlJ9O2tE&e=

I see buttons “Edit | Delete | Clone” but this is for Version 8.1.

When I follow link to the 10.0 one (which I think was what came up for use in 11.0 testing workflow), I get to here:

https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__netbeans-2Dvm.apache.org_synergy_client_app_-23_title_java-5Fcode-5Fcompletion_10.0&d=DwIFaQ&c=RoP1YumCXCgaWHvlZYR8PZh8Bv7qIrMUB65eapI_JnE&r=8_Pz0x0SKeT5e3IehhQKCbQ2xl3tz40jnCU133NrdP4&m=bfBukULQc-FNgyV2c52-0yPM7DvGhi23vvO5egYOqPU&s=ap-IQjs4fmsvTGPl2L16Pw-2JoStNOWxBmw_dcEjvag&e=

And the buttons are replaced with a message “Closed for structure changes”.

I do not see a volunteer button but I may have done that earlier to get the login.

I believe you should be able to edit and also clone a spec to make a
completely new one for a release, if needed.

You'll need to click the 'Volunteer' button after you're logged in.

Thanks for the work -- indeed, the test specs tend to need to be tweaked a
bit here and there.

Hi,

I have made it through the Code Completion tests.  I found a few issues
and created JIRA issues.  All the issues seemed to have been there in
the last release (I was not able to go back to 8.2 easily.) Certainly
none are blockers to the release.

While I think I interpreted the intent of the tests correctly, in a few
places there are some rough spots that could be fixed.  It looked like
the test descriptions were closed to editing (which makes sense) but at
some point I would be glad to clone, edit, and then propose changes. If
I missed how to do this now, let me know.

I learned more about code completion than I knew in going through these
so it was a win-win effort.
