Thanks much.  I'll give it shot when I get round to it.

I am however, a little concerned about the new flash code turning out
to *not* be the right one, and overwriting the exiting code leaving me
with a dead modem with no way of getting on-line again, and no way of
consulting this mailing list again to solve the resultant problem.

Perhaps I'm fretting over nothing.  I really do hope so!

Note to Chris Wiles:  Perhaps you could set my mind a ease and please
confirm that the *MagicXpress MX56VX* modem supplied by your good
self, is indeed *fully Dynalink compatable.*  Thanks in anticipation.
