Hehe, I was just thinking of an easy way to get all my mates details into Contact Manager. I started by writing out e-mails to some mates asking for all the info and listing the fields that Contact Manager has. But this started getting silly so I had another idea. How about some standard way of getting info from people direct into CM, without me having to copy it from the e-mail into - CM after I do get a response. Well I thought about it and came up with a webpage form idea. The web-address to the form would take an e-mail (yours) address as a parameter. So when you send out your e-mails to mates asking for details you'd just ask them go to a URL something like: http://www.vapor.com/contactmanager.cgi?[EMAIL PROTECTED] *NOTE THE ABOVE IS BULLS**T I JUST MADE UP! :)* So this CGI script would allow a friend to enter as much info as (s)he wanted, then (s)he can 'submit' the form and the output would be processed into a nice useable format that can be directly imported into Contact Manager. It would mean CM will have to be updated, but then again it's not exactly without bugs ATM and could do with an update, please :))) So is my idea possible, Chris, Olli, Neil net-experts?? It would be quite cool I think and a definate product extra that people could appreciate. It little things with software that make it stick out from others. I haven't a clue about writing CGI scripts (it's in Perl or something isn't it?) so I can't do owt about the idea.
