I've just had a (wonderful?)idea:
Almost every time I disconnect, I load AmTerm and issue AT&V1 to see
my connection speeds (max and recent). (now that we all know how, and
I hold Neil B. personally responsible).
Now...wouldn't it be nice if Genesis could automatically steal this
information and show it to you. It might be possible using AREXX
combined with the "Active Offline" option, but I know very little
about AREXX (only whats in the latest AF tutorial :-/) . If not, could
it be a possible addition to the next update of Genesis please?
Similarly, there is a "Passive Offline" option. At the moment this
just runs a script for me saying "you were put offline, don't know
why" or something. Maybe a script could be written which extracts the
reason from the first line of AmTerm AT&V1 eg. "Reason for
Termination: Retrain failed".
Only a suggestion. Tell me if its stupid or if you agree.
