Try this: Open up AmTerm, go to settings, and tick the shared tickbox. Keep
AmTerm open, then load up Genesis and dialup - voila.

I think Executive has a meter that could show this but personally I never had
much luck getting it to work ... tried getting it to monitor appp.device,
serial.device, artser.device, none seemed to work =(
