This is easy. bsdsocket.library is 'created' when you load up your TCP/IP
stack  (Genesis I presume). If you haven't got Genesis running, then
Snoopdos will report it missing. However, MD doesn't need it unless you
want to connect to send/recieve mail or some other network activity.
