Or it may mean you have put a weird 'feature' in MD2 for your
amusement ;-)
I recently got the same PASS failure message, tried phoning my ISP
(got an answerphone) and eventually got it working by re-entering my
password. Strange though, since I haven't even looked at my prefs for
AGES. It just changed magically.
