Whatever the pros and cons of this scheme is, this and Tempo's new
deal are the first cracks appearing in the UK telecom industry in
their determination to avoid unmetered Internet access. It may go the
same way as free ISPs. First someone starts it, then a great many
others follow. Somebody works out a good way of doing this and the UK
will drop in line with most of the world.
