This is going to step on a few feet.  Sorry.  It is not that I 
am meaning it against individual people.  It is a statement of
what I see as happening in this e-mail group.

So to now try to add substance to the claims, here are my observations:

I am a "user" of netconnect.  To that end, if it works, I don't complain. 
If it doesn't I do.

That is to be expected.

A while ago my posts to this group / mial list were NOT being posted.  Only
after my asking YOU (Chris) and a couple of other programmers, did my mails
re-appear.

The ideas I have suggested lately are NOT "off the planet" kind of requests
and are very legitimate to me as a user.

AND I see them are more relevant to the "NETCONNECT" program set than "free
ISP's in England", "Flat bed scanners" "Video backup" "AOL supports UK and
European...."  (I won';t go on)  and the like that have been swamping the
group.

When I have asked for help with AMIRC WAY back it was hinted at me to join
that group and not ask in the general NETCONNECT area.

Now, looking at what I get from other people are things I don't know much
about and CONSTANT complaints about microdot.  I have become so annoyed
with it, I have DROPPED use of it a long time ago and bought a BETTER news
program and use YAM for my e-mail.  By better, I mean one that does what I
want.

Just quickly - even though I have bought a news program, it is disturbing to
me that I hardly use it.  So that means that even for the SMALL ammount of
times I wanted to use a news progoram, Microdot didn't come up to scratch. 
E-mail, it was HOPELESS.   **  NO offence to the writers **  But that is a
GOOD example of the "lack of communications" that exists.

This is a statement of MY needs.

I said some things about that and was quicly shot down my people (and don't
go digging skeletons out of the closet about this).

Showing off the program to other people they showed me "problems" with the
interface in the GEnesis report area.

Graphs in particular.   They should be BAR graphs.  NOT line graphs.   I
mentioned this and didn't get ANY kind of responce to it.  So I don't know
if it is going to be addressed or not.  Why should I continue to say it?

Also, when I open the report, it defaults to the call displayer.  If I want
to see the graphs, I have to select the graph tag, and then it defaults to
the cost / month.  I want time / month.

Another thing that is silly is that when "ROOT" is looking at the graphs,
there is a "show all users and "show current user" option.

It is pointless.  Why?

Because:

1)  As was stated to me, "ROOT" has access to all passwords - well in a
perfect world.  And so can become anyone he wants.   So that makes the show
current user invalid, because all ROOT has to do is become that user.

2)  The show all users is good ONLY for total time.  What happens if you
have 2 types of connection.  And you are a user (or ROOT) and want to see
your time usage on ONE of the connections because one is a timed connection
and the other may be a LAN connection.



In the past when I have re-asked the questions again and agin "some pople"
get agro at me.  I don't really want to upset people.  All I want to do is
submit a question and get a PROPPER answer.  Not an "Oh, I think......."
kind of answer.   If there is no answer, just say so.   There is nothing
wrong with that; is there?

As to the whole thing's stability, it is good and it works.

But all I see here is rhumors or half baked opinions.  (Gee am I going to be
shot down now)

PLEASE put your selves in my shoes.

I don't mind seeing questions and observed problems being asked.  What
annoys me is the replies I see which are not always true.

The other posts in this thread kind of hint at that too.

Ask the question and please someone who knows the answer help the person. 
Ok not all problems are that easy to solve and they need specific details
to be exchanged.  Fair enough.

But really what I am FORCED to do is block all messages from Netconnect (and
other mail lists) and just file them, unless they are to do with something
I posted.

So when I get new mail, I look for addresses I know as friends, then scan
for topics I posted and see if there is a reply.  Otherwise I just file
them.

Now, don't shoot me down for that.   That is the situation for me as it
stands and I hope "YOU" can understand MY side of it, as I am seeing "YOUR"
side too.

With that I shall stop and hope that I don't get flamed to bits, because I
am very anxious to hear what is going to be in Netconnect V3, and hope that
it is a good investment.  Only time will tell.
