Several PC/Mac programs put their own header on the top of a JPEG file. Some viewer programs ignore these extra headers and some don't. Not much you can do about that apart from loading it into a Hex editor and cutting it off, provided of course you know where to cut it, or try a different viewer. > > Can anyone think of a way around this, as I don't like using Multiview > because the Datatypes (akJFIF v44.27) usually selects unsuitable screenmodes > which makes the images short & fat etc. Also, JpegAGA offers more options > that Multiview. Firstly the latest version of the akJPG datatype is 44.39, available from the authors web site. http://www.ar-kleinert.de iirc. You can force the program to use any screenmode you want by editing the the prefs file (akJFIF.prefs) in "ENVARC:Datatypes/" Add the following line to show pictures in PAL Hi-Res Lace "CUSTOM_MODES=0x00029004" you may want ot change this depending on what screenmode you want to force it to use. -- Best Regards, Richard Lane - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Author: AmiNET - biz/dopus/Magnum_Opus31a.lha Magnum_Opus support site - http://www.homeusers.prestel.co.uk/amiga Powered by *AMIGA* -- TV Truth: Car tires squeal on dirt roads. _____________________________________________________________ NetConnect mailing list.
