A few months ago, I was on this ML whinging about poor internet useage speeds. E-mail & news downloading of never much more that 1500cps & browsing & aminet downloading of never more than 2500bps, from a V90 modem. I have since found what was causing the problem - The IOBlix A1200 serial card. So, a little while ago, I sent a posting to this ML about the sluggishness of IOBlix when compared even to the internal serial port. Chris Wiles suggested some stuff: Clashing with something - Tried a patchless WB on a vanilla A1200 - No effect Try older drivers - No older drivers work with my revision board (rev 1b) Try newer drivers - Downloaded V37.9 from RBM - No effect Could someone else who uses the IOBlix card, please temporarily revert to the internal serial port to see if it happens to them too. Please let me know either way (privately if necessary) Incidentally, since installing V37.9, whenever it is in use, the border of the screen flickers. Not a problem, but weird non the less. Any more help would be greatly appriciated. -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using A1200 (rev 1B) with Blizzard 1230/50, 16Mb, 4Gb, Setpatch 43.6, MagicXpress V90 via IOBlix 1200S www.free4all.co.uk _____________________________________________________________ NetConnect mailing list.
