Please let me know > either way (privately if necessary) Of course it isn't slower :) Both Neil and I use the IOBlix card and, despite clashes with old software drivers and software like Fusion, in the past, generally it is a lot faster than the internal serial port. Which is also why no-one else commented re. the problem ;) Anyway, you could try swapping it for a Hypercom card. Personally I think the card (or port?) is possibly clashing with something on your system (hardware related), hence the slowdown :( Chris.
