Dear All,
Is the dislike towards PC's based on the hardware that comprises them or the
software that they run? I would hazard a guess and say the latter, since
much of the hardware available for the PC could be considered state of the
art, although I have come across programmers who do not like the Intel
processor. I think I would be happy with a reasonably priced machine with a
powerful processor, which can use existing PC hardware, such as the graphics
and sound cards. However, will this be enough to tempt people away from
Microsoft software, which is generally what people consider a PC to exist on,
not the hardware that comprises it? I certainly hope so!
Regards
