Hi all
I downloaded the new (and rather good, imho) AmIRC3 public
unregistered etc demo thing yesterday and tried it out.
It said something to the effect of "this should be registered after 30
days" which is fair enough. Unfortunately, it went on to inform me
that this was my 192nd day of trying it out, and you have to wait that
many seconds for it to start. Other people have told me that their
figure is higher still. What gives? Is that intentional?
I'll be buying NC3 asap, which I understand will have AmIRC3 in it, so
there's no great problem. But I'd have liked to try out the demo since
its been made available, and that sort of wait every time (designed to
encourange registering after a while, I realise) means I'm unlikely to
try it again... :(
