All I can think is that you have your tagline file set up wrong. Try
something like this:

Tagline number 1
%%
This is my second tagline
%%
This third tagline is really funny.
%%
You gotta laugh at me.

Then set the preferences in tag-o-miga to use SPOT as default.

Now, in a CLI, try:

Tag-O-Miga ram:ploppy

If it's set up right then ram:ploppy should be a file containing your
tagline (and header if desired).

If this is okay, then try it from within MD2 (the external editor
button, I mean).

If it still doesn't work, I can send you my tag-o-miga prefs file and
a sample tagline file. Please let me know. Also, make sure in MUI that
you untick 'call editor synchronously'.
