I know, but it does this repeatedly; it does it when I'm writing mails and
the machine hasn't even been online, which slows the process down a lot;

Write mail > Click Send > Wait for MD to connect to server > Wait for MD to
say it can't find a TCP connection > Close window > Close helpful info
window > Write next mail...

Which isn't really any easier when you're trying to send twenty or so mails
