Did other stuff slow down downloading as well as mail?

Since I've done the software update for the IOBlix 4000 never had a problem
with it.
Even with binaries I've had sustained xfer rates of 5.2k on a 4.5k
connection. In fact
haven't had a line drop since I got the card to work compared to my last IO
card.

As to the speed that Michael was getting - could that be due to the modem
not
supporting any speed higher than 115? Using a 56k USR modem, there is no
communication with the modem if I set the speed above 115.

My system clock was losing a day which was screwing up the Genesis
logger. I
couldn't figure out why. Now I know! Thanks.

About the slow e-mail download, I too was having that problem, but I
was having
it with all previous versions as well. Using the internal serial
port was
quicker. What revision board do you have? Mine is a 1B.

        I also notice you're using Free4all. Me too. I wonder if that's
anything to do
        with it?

Anyway, I have since given up on the IOBlix card working on my
setup, and have
now sent it back to Chris and am awaiting a Hypercom card as a
replacement.

Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but at least you know you're
not the only
        one.
