I kind of explained that in the first one.  And you cover it in this reply.

The password has to have a number (digit) in it.  Or a punctuation mark.

Oh I agree that the idea is a good one.  What I am contesting is that we are
MADE to comply with it.

I run a small system and the users I have (and myself) are not too worried
about passwords.  We have simple ones and as you say below:  Have had to
resort to bunging a 1 on the end of our existing password/s to make them
Netconnect complient.
