Just a suggestion but have you altered the account settings in Microdot itself to 
reflect this
change. I.E. "sophies" account POP3 number ends in -002 and likewise with your own?. 
The only other
suggestion is that you've set up an email allias which has 2 address directed to the 
same email
account. (as is possible with free4all). Try getting someone else from another 
computer to send an
email to both address's then reply and see what happens. Also check when you reply 
what email
address they were sent from. I.E. yours or sophies
