New filesystems are an extreme way of solving your invalidation problems;
but my suggestion is to use \Disksafe by Thomas Richter. I'm sure
everyones seen it (it's on every AFCD), I find it a godsend. It's freeware
and all you do is put it in your c: directory and put a line in your
startup. From then on your system won't reset (even when it crashes) until
all disk activity has ceased. I used to have terrible broblems with my
HD's (I wrote off 2) but now everythings fine. Simple but effective.
