Hi all, I got my NC3 disk on Wednesday and I immediately decided to leave it to the weekend to install it. After reading of the various woes people have had here I wanted to summarise what has been learned so far so that i'm best prepared to do the upgrade. 1) Backup,backup,backup. 2) Get latest V3 from Vapor. 3) Get latest Metalweb from Aminet. 4) Install NC3. 5) Install 2) and 3) over NC3 installation using their installers. 6) Don't mess with Octopus cli/wb settings or it will draw in the programs with it's tentacles, cram them into it's beak and burp in a contented manner. :) All additions,confirmations and corrections on any ommissions gratefully received. Now my questions. My NC2.3 setup is behaving brilliantly and has done so more or less from the start. Can NC3 co-exist with NC2 peacefully so that I can fall back to NC2 if my NC3 install behaves in a pear shaped manner. I'm particularly concerned not to lose email contact with the outside world and this list in particular :) Does the Javascript support work reliably? My wife is itching to do online share dealing with CMC Group and javascript seems to be required to register with them. If I give the impression that i'm a little afraid of the NC3 upgrade it's only because what i've read here turns my sh*t lumpy :) Best regards, Ron Hill.
