After installing NC 2 I did have to get som help, and now with NC 3 it's
the same.
Problem 1: When installing NC 3 from the CD something strange did happen.
The following day when trying to switch on my A4000 it could hardly find
anything, no floppy, no Cd ... I found that the l directory was missing
from my system. I did have a backup on CD, but I couldnot read any CD:s.
After installing the l dir from the wb-disk, CD-system from Idefix I could
restore the l dir from the CD-backup. Then I found that neither the old
Netconnect nor the new Octopus did function, the old one did not have any
configuration available, and the new one I could not get into the record
the login-procedure mode. ( I did stop it here at the installation because
I did not remember all the data needed at that point). This problem I have
got solved by running the installation of Octopus again.
Problem 2: When trying to run Voyager all I get is a frozen screen or a
GURU. I have tried to install it again with the same result.
Problem 3: When trying to run WebVision the situation is the same as in
problem 2.
Problem 4: Is there a problem with the Installation script (see problem 1),
or can I safely try to make a complete installation again? (I have tried to
install only one program in one try after the 'crash' in the first
installation)
I am sure that the following programmes are ok: Octopus, Genesis, mFTP II
and AmTelnet 2, the other ones also are running without crashes except for
the two above.
