/Amen to that!!/
By the way, I've just given my Miggy her X-mas presents early, in
the form of the IO-Blix and Buddha/Catweasel MKII zorro cards. Boy!!
What a difference! But I was wondering if there is anything I can do
via software to speed things up a bit more. ( Okay, so I'm a speed
demon! But at least I'm not a PC-Demon :-) )
Anyway, getting back on track, I want to make Genesis faster and
more stable. Granted, the problems here may be with Prestel ( my ISP )
but I'm gonna try anyway.
*DETAILS:*
The Pace 56k is connected via IOBlix using "ioblixser.device"
v37.10. DOpus is running on a PicassoIV 800x600 24bit screen.
*GENESIS SETTINGS:*
*_DEVICE:_* Baud rate - 115200, Buffer size - 65000,
Flow Control - RTS/CTS
(Highspeed Mode & DropDTRTicked)
*_COMMANDS:_*
Init string - AT&F&D2\r
Dial Prefix - ATDT
Dial Suffix - \r
Answer - ATA\r
Hangup - ~~~xxx~~~ATHO\r
Command Delay - 10 (x1/50 sec)
The MTU (max transfer unit) is 1500, as set by Genesis Wizard,
Carrier Detect is on and so is Use DNS Address. Ping is on every 10
mins - /what does this do BTW?/
If anyone can help on this, I'd be grateful.
Jayce, half asleep with one Hell of a hangover...
