My brain was even slower than my fingers when I originally wrote this
email, referring to MD-II instead of v (too much alcohol & not enough
sleep), so I'm repeating it with the correct symptoms:
I'm completely unable to use the above features of V.
Whichever I use I always get some sort of wierd character string
which usually contains something like "Nu" and a message saying
something about a null pointer.
I have checked my cache and it is PROGDIR:Cache.
I have flushed all caches.
I have checked user-startup and I do have a netconnect2: assign
(pointing at Netconnect3:) so I can use Netconnect instead of Octopus.
If I use the "Go to Cache:" menu item (or similar phrase) I do,
eventually, get a valid-looking list.
Can anyone suggest how this might be cured? Should I delete the
whole cache directory physically and start again? Any help will be
greatfully accepted.
Thanks
