I'm not sure if this is what you need, but it could be, have you changed the
style of the V3 toolbar? If so, you may have changed the function of the
button, go to the settings menu, and then General Settings. select the
Toolbar section, and make sure that 'Back' and 'Forward''s actions are Back
and Forward respectively.
