Hmmm, those Request For Comments won't get that far, unless you know which
one you're looking for, however, RFC 1 makes good reading...
Well it was just an example of a routing table getting mucked up. (see
below as to what the routing table is) In Christmas 1973, in Arpanet's
fourth year of operation, a stange fault developed on Harvard's IMP
(Inteface Message Processor, I kind of sub internet provider), what happened
was that this machine re-wrote all the routing tables to zeros, so that each
machine on the ARPANet looked at the routing table for which route to send
the packets (chunks of data) , and because Harvard appeared to take zero
amount of 'jumps' to the destination, an emmense amount of packets shot
towards Harvard, and threw the whole system into mayhem, everything was sent
to Harvard, but nothing came out, it was a black hole....

There's a good book called 'Where Wizards Stay Up Late', it's an excellent
book, very easy to understand as well. I suggest you try finding it
The ISBN code is: 0-684-83267-4

Simply put, a routing table is a way for a computer to find the quickest way
to send a packet (chunk of data) to its destination. Routing tables are
updated all the time, so that if a machine is down on the Network, it's
signalled and the packets avoid that area.

That's a hard one, all I can say, without seeing the problem and seeing
Genesis's debug reports (see what it is doing when problem occurs), I can't
say, but my guess is that Genesis is getting the wrong routing table for
U-Net and it's sending the packets on literally a wild goose chase! :(

That's ok! :)
