Hi Philip You said: >This is probably going to be a stupid question but what is the benefit/use of >this offline mode apart from foxing everyone (me) at first. To which I reply: One use for it is to access a site with multiple pages or lots of information. for example: 1. You access the first page of a multiple page site and let it load completely. 2. Without reading any of the text you then load the next page (or the first link or whatever). 3. Then once that has completely loaded, again without reading any of the text, you continue loading all the other links/pages that you are interested in. When you have finished loading all the relevant pages you can then go offline. Then if you select `offline browsing' from the menu and type in the URL of the first page you accessed it will be drawn from cache and you can then take your time to read all the text and access the other links/pages without incurring a hhhuuugggeee telephone bill :-) Hope this helps -- A La Prochaine Dave Le Huray Guernsey, Channel Islands ICQ: 56195074 - - Surfing the Net with the speed of a Pentium - - - - - - - - On my 25Mhz Amiga 1200T :-) - - - - - - -- _____________________________________________________________ NetConnect mailing list.
