Having been soundly, repeatedly & smugly castigated by a certain
smarty-pants for not instantly upgrading to NC3, and then even more
instantly upgrading again (release date 26th December!!!!!!!) to make
even that one Y2K compliant, I, like the majority of the rest of us on
this list, am left, if not exactly disgruntled, then very far from
feeling gruntled.
I console myself with the thought that, as we are being daily
reminded by the media, we are not yet out of the wood, that there are
further hurdles ahead, A[pril 29th being the foremost, our totally Y2K
correspondent may yet come unplugged, and his euphoric hubris take a
well-deserved tumble.
Meanwhile I am secretly hoarding my money so I can buy NetConnect
5, final release 8, and pop back into this mailing list at the end of
the April Financial Year with properly dated mail & a broad smirk, &
join forces with our righteous friend, and gloat & gloat & gloat &
gloat *ad nauseam*.
