I've had that too. Nasty bug.

It's looking in the wrong place for the Octopus prefs program. Run it
manually from the Octopus directory, or alternatively move OctopusPrefs to
the main Netconnect3 directory (the one that Netconnect3: is assigned to)
and then the menu option will work.

I'll add another couple of bugs to the list but I think the chances of
anyone doing anything about it are about zero given that it was half
written by Chris "non-support" Wiles:

1. If you set a "iconify" icon to appear in the Octopus title bar in the
MUI prefs, it doesn't appear. Annoying.

2. If you close the Octopus window, then choose NOT to quit, I can't find
any way of getting the window to reopen which makes the whole exercise
rather pointless. You *should* be able to do it from Exchange (Octopus is
listed as a commodity there) but the "Show Interface" button doesn't work.

Get the latest version from Aminet or from the author's site at:

http://www.cs.uit.no/~troels/

That fixes the duff version on the CD.

Hope that helps.
